golden zebras? [b. histrionica]
long story short, I bought 3 golden zebra loaches last night for my 30 long aquarium. I know they will need more friends to be happy, right? how many? [I have a line on where to get some more... it will just be spendy!] will the 30 long be okay for them long term? all that is currently in there is a rainbow cichlid and a baby zebra acara for grow out. thanks in advance!!

Perhaps a group of 5 could suffice, but I would cetaily get 3 more - in case 1 of them would die, where could you get a replacement? Bettter save than sorry with 1 or 2 more then the absolute minimum.
I think 30 gallons - US gallons, of 3,8 liters, that is 114 liters, could be enough, but there is little room for other fishes. Perhaps a school of 10 Brachydanio, as dithers, not much more.

I'm assuming a 4ft 30g, yes? I do as Bas Pels said, get 3 more...& keep a lid on the tank.
