Hi everyone!
To start, I'm fairly new to the world of hillsrream loaches and they're already my favorites. I managed to grab two Sewellia spotted from my LFS but haven't had any success in finding more. I've seen a few posts/pictures for males and females but I'm still not 100% in judging. I would greatly appreciate a confirmation . I'm assuming these two that I have are two females?

Re: Sewellia sp. Spotted Male/Female?
I'm not sure Mike. The first looks female to me, the second is iffier. I only have s. lineolata so not an expert in any way on other sewellia or hillies in general. What size are they?

I would say it looks female from the pics. The pectoral fins don't form enough of a "shoulder".
You can also see from this guide that it looks more like a female too.
