newly rehomed loach

Post by Erik » Sun Feb 12, 2006 4:55 pm

Mark and partner came over today to drop a gorgeous specimen of
Acanthocobitis rubidipinnis that was being a bit of jerk in his tank.
Very fat, happy and colourful fish.
Thanks Mark I will keep you updated with pictures etc as he acclimates.
BTw Mr Mark has five tanks now including one in his bathroom, that's a serious fishaholic.
Cheers

It's all true. And it turns out that removing an A. rubi from the river tank took only 2.5 hours... Ugh. ALL the decor had to come out, and even then it was a major struggle to catch the blighter.
One of my M. pulchers was showing scarring though, and I narrowed down who the culprit was. Now poor Erik can deal with him. And Erik's tanks are fantastic! I even met Loki.

Glad you could take that brat off Mark's hands, Erik. Now if you could only train him to do tricks like the goldfish in that video recently posted 8)

You should find that he's one active loach. That bulk isn't all fat...

In my tank, Schistura, Mesonemacheilus, and my single rubi are all out on the rocks for the first time in ages. No more hiding for survival! This is a happy situation all around. May Cherrie do terribly well in his new home.

Well that's great Mark I'm glas it's working out for you. This guy is very entertaining so far. Has been doing loop de loops in the currentevery other lap around the tank getting to know his new home.
This is one nice looking fish and seems to be settling in fast.
