Is it safe?

I have a 55 gallon tank that was struck by an ich infestation over 2 months ago. The only survivor was a common pleco,who is still thriving with no visible signs of ich. However, I'm still not positive if it's gone. I treated with Quick cure,but it didn't seem to help much at the time. Do you think its safe to add some white clouds as "Test fish" before i add sinibotia, so I know that the water quality is stable and the ich is gone? I'm pretty sure its gone, but you never know...
