that is one of those food clips from petsmart. the big loach just pulled it off the side of the aquarium and decided it was all his/hers...

yes its a squash.

Emma,

Yes they love the sand. Great advice, thanks. I also threw in some of that smaller rounded gravel from caribsea. It was called the Rio Grande Blend. I only put a few handfuls of pebbles right under the 'loach hotel'.
