Napping on side(pic)UPDATE 4-17

Post by LoachOrgy » Fri Apr 06, 2007 9:50 pm

I came home early today from work and found one of the loaches napping on its side inside the pvc pipe. The loach didn't even wake up when I made noise either. Took a good 2 hour nap....

Catching a photo of a napping clown is tricky. With the creaky floors in my house, I have to wait for a while before most of the loaches reappear when I enter the room. Great nap shot.

What a cute picture!!!
You're lucky to have managed to sneak up on him while sleeping!
Whenever I try to take pics of mine sleeping, I think the flash wakes them up

Hee! Too cute -- did you use a flash on that, or were the lights on? I can only ever get pictures of nappers when the lights are off and I don't use flash, so they always come out like this:

yes the flash was on. the flash has a slight delay so it seems to workout perfectly if i am sitting a few feet away from the tank. i believe the loach didn't swim away bc its head was facing away from the camera. this loach used to sleep on its side right out in the open with me sitting next to the tank but since the tank change. the loach isn't as brave.
