again, how much current?

Post by MTS » Mon Jun 11, 2007 10:19 pm

Hi.
Just starting to set up a clown loach tank. Went smaller than originally intended but will upgrade again in a couple of years when we move.

Tank is 5 feet x 18" x 21"tall. Will be moving 6 clown loaches into it. Also have 8 angels in different tanks that I'd like to combine with the loaches. The angels are getting too big to stay in their present tanks. Would it be ok to put all 8 together with the 6 loaches or should I plan to move only some of the angels?

The loaches like current but since angels don't, I need to figure out a compromise. So far, I have one 2128 Eheim canister I plan to use but I have also various powerheads and an old magnum canister that I could put on the tank. The tank has bracing along the top so I can't hang an HOB on back, which is my preferred combination --canister and bio-wheel HOB. What filtration and current do you think I'll need?

Suggestions and recommendations appreciated.
