Road Trip--Day 1 ends. Day 2 begins

Post by sully » Mon Jun 25, 2007 10:51 am

Shari got into Indy late yesterday and rounded up Jim and Sully at a Crackerbarrel . A fine meal was enjoyed. Shari's daughters sampled the Rib-Eye. An item for which CB is well known at Interstate exits across the country.

After much talking at the table, the gathering moved to the comfort of the parking lot. The simple asphalt and automobile ambiance went unnoticed for much of the next hour.

The obligatory photo seesion wrapped up the dinner and discussion (shari has pics. don't let her lie. make her post them).

Instead of finding a suitable campsite for her and the kids along the wilds of I-70 the travellers spent a quiet night safely ensconced at sully's. As the 10:00 weather map showed--if nothing else--it was a lot drier than the alternative.

Beating the sunrise, shari and the kids were up, showered and on the road with their cups of tea. I hope their travels continue to be happy and safe.

Brief but delightful. You won't find many people better than the ones that left here several hours ago.

That she is, and so are her two daughters.

Thanks for the update sully. I was wondering how early they got going this morning. I guess you couldn't talk her into posting the pics that were taken last night. We will just have to keep on her about that.

Though the hospitality was indeed welcomed, they must not have gotten much sleep. Rumor has it that the daughters slept through the Spanish lesson this morning. Hopefully they were encouraged to participate in the evening makeup class.

I am sorry Martin, only kidding around! Actually I find it rather comfortable to joke around because your avatar picture reminds me of my uncle...

Has Martin ever used a double entendre before?
