Hi Dave. Happy new year!

Sounds interesting! I like how the word "fin" wasn't stated. :D

I thought I had heard of this somewhere on the petfrd.com site, but when I did a search, I couldn't find anything.
It sounds like it might be one of the many red finned/tailed schisturas.
I guess you will just have to go see for yourself.
By the way, nice antlers :)

And how 'bout those HORNS :D

ONLY 12!!! ONLY 12 !!!!
You're killing me here, Dave!!
You have in that bag more of those elusive critters than I have seen in my life. I have only seen three. I bought two and was given one.
Congratulations!!! Great find!!! Needless to say I am envious.
I particularly like the big guy, but they all look nice.Seeing them gives me hope that they will show up again in my area. I lost my last one about 10 months ago, and am ready for more.

Keep us posted on their progress and keep the pics coming too.

I'm sure Martin will be drooling all over his keyboard when he sees these beauties. :D

I had a real problem posting that in the first place and now I can't delete the extras. I wonder what's the problem?

The problem would appear to be "Homaloptera Post Stress Syndrome"

Main symptoms are multiple pressing of the Submit button resulting in "ONLY 12?, ONLY 12? ONLY 12?"

Only 12 Dave? I'm a confuzona over why you didna buya any for me an' Jim ah?

You are a mean, cruel and lucky b*gger  I'm envious.

Martin.

You hit the nail on the head, Martin!!
This syndrome often occurs after having had these fish and then being dreprived of them with little hope of finding them again.
