Laser Loach?
I have just had an email from a friend who has just got an email from their fish supplier stating that they now have Laser Loach available
I have asked them to ask for a photo but was wondering if anyone on here had heard of this name being used for any species of Loach

I thought that at first but Sumo Loach also appears on the listJim Powers wrote:Just a guess, but that could be a sumo with the bright "laser" orange and or yellow stripes.
Hopefully I should get a picture within a day or so

Re: Laser Loach?
The ones that came into our LFS were listed by the supplier as "Loach Laser Reg., Tuberoschistura Reg." When they arrived about three weeks ago, they appeared (to my untrained eye) to be Yunnanilus brevis.Mad Duff wrote:I have just had an email from a friend who has just got an email from their fish supplier stating that they now have Laser Loach available

Of course, that's not to say I'm correct about the ID or that your Laser Loach will be the same since we're on different continents. Hope someone more experienced at identifying loaches than I am will see them soon and positively ID them.
