The Loach Book
A nice Fedex man delivered me the first proofs (in color) for the book not long ago this morning. I've had a quick flick through and it looks absolutely fantastic!
If you've seen any recent TFH fish books it's in a very similar style. Come November/December you'll be able to hold a life-size picture of Marge in your hands
Martin.

While you can order it from Amazon, please also consider ordering it from either a local independent bookstore or your lfs. By doing this, more stores put in advance orders for the book, and we get a little more exposure. We want fish shops to know of this book!
Your vantage point determines what you can see.
Best bet:
Go get the ISBN and publisher's info off of Amazon and bring it to your lfs and ask them to order it.

I'm not sure .. to me the new cover looks 'cold' and alien, the older cover on the other hand has an immediate warmth and a friendly expression on me (huge lovely and brightly coloured clown).Mark in Vancouver wrote:At first I did too, but the image they chose works very well, IMO. I think it's a slightly better illustration of what makes a loach different from other aquarium fish - and that's the marketing point I think they're trying to make.
Anyway, it's not mine to decide about this, just throwing in my thoughts. Seems like a great book and I will likely buy it.

Ok, ok .. "deceivingly huge looking but actually very small lovely and brightly coloured clown".Martin Thoene wrote:Actually, that huge lovely Clown is mine and was only about 2.5" long at the time that picture was taken.
*throws a used teabag at Martin*

Seriously. I have more teabags here and I'm willing to use them.Bagrus dude wrote:I hope none of my pics are in the book. I don't remember signing anything giving permission to use my pictures.
