Too many leaf watchers kept me from checking out some of the better spots today, but I did take a short drive to Lake Monroe to get a few leaf shots from the car window.

In my area of Southern Ontario, many leaves dropped this past week.
I will be raking up the first batch on Sunday.
This afternoon I was trying to find some trees with red leaves, tough to do, most of the leaves still on the trees are yellow, but I managed to find a red one in a park:

not leaves, but interesting:

I am standing in a pioneer cemetery, those pillars define the original entrance, now used only by pedestrians:

Wonderful pictures! We made it back to Mount Pleasant Cemetery today. The weather made for bright colours and interesting contrasts of light and shade.

Oooh, some nice ones there, Mr. T! The first Celtic cross statue in the series is a printer. Or print it in black and white and sell it to goth kids...

The first image of the black tree [oak?] branches in front of the maples is also a keeper. Lots of them.

Alas, we have time to archive it!

The autumn photos from lots of members in October of 2009 seems like a worthy opportunity to anchor this sticky. It's so nice to see multiple photo contributions from around the world, and it seems like an excellent neutral space for this forum.

If anyone is of a mind to start new time- or season-specific threads, please do it here. Thanks to Jim for launching the thread that launched this archive.

Okay here are my last fall foliage photos (alliteration, eh ?) most of the bright colourful leaves in my area are down, even a tree that still had green leaves, they are now on the ground as well ?

Anyway, here are some photos of a vine growing on the side of my garage:

I did not get over to the pond to see if there are any Canada geese there, so my next outdoor photos will probably have snow in them

If you right-click on the photo of those Canada geese, you'll see the name of the file is "DrydenDecoys." I spent about fifteen minutes of slyly creeping up on about a dozen of 'em, and was so pleased with myself that they didn't spook -- until I noticed that they never moved at all, and had what looked suspiciously like rust stains on their waterline ...
But they made an interesting foreground to the foliage colors reflected in the lake.

I'm at the library with my laptop so I can see that there's lots of cool stuff to be seen in this sticky!

Nothing worth shooting in this area yet. Another week or so and there should be some noteworthy colors.

That's hilarious Donna! They're actually quite good posers in non-plastic version too. A couple of pics from 2008.

As per Mark's request last year, we went to the Niagara Escarpment area around Milton, west of Toronto. We ended up at Chudleigh's Apple Farm.

Along with a whole lot of people and their families out enjoying the beautiful weather.

The colour in places was fabulous.

Go Leafs go!
