I have quite a big DVD collection so never rent. there aren't any DVD hire places where I live anyway.
Some of my favourites:
Breaking Bad
The Sopranos
The Shawshank Redemption
Unfaithful - who could resist ze 'andsome Frenchman!!
Shine - true story of pianist David Helfgott
The Specialist - big fan of James Woods
The Debt collector - Ken Stott is brilliant in this
Leaving Las Vegas - great music score.
Donnie Brasco Johnny Depp and Al Pacino
Loads of others, all the Dirty Harry films....................

I love gore and horror film, I just purchased a complete copy of Final Destination and Scream (Stab the Movie). My dogs won't even dare to sneak out of the cardinal gates due to the sound effects on this film.

I suggest you to watch Shooter, The Specialist, and The Sopranos. These are best to watch.
