Emma and Mark - I think we spent a lot of time in the 80's listening to the same music. And thank you for the Eartha Kitt video, I've only ever seen her as Catwoman - that was a fun watch.

Here's a couple of mine - personally I'm not keen on either video, but I like the music.

Graeme:

Have you lately plugged some cash into the juke box and asked the band to play some of the Eagles songs and none of the band members have ever heard of the Eagles much less their music?

I listened to Radiohead all day today. Anyone heard of Modest Mouse?

Modest Mouse does some great stuff and has been involved with many of the songs listed here.

Went to a concert with my son back in May, was in the mosh area. Even though I was three times older than all the rest of the people and didn't have any weapon I still can hang. Those young guys run out of juice way too fast.

Modest Mouse and a great opening band called Man Man. We had a blast.

Yes Tubbs is not even on the long list. This guy is though. Unique two finger style.

Today I heard this one and it made me, like allways, turn the radio very loud and then a little louder:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3ns9rtV ... re=related
Herbert Grönemeyer
Sie hört Musik nur wenn sie laut ist

She sits the whole day long on her windowsill
Letting her legs dangle to music
The noise from her room makes every neighbour sick
She is animated, smiles amused
She doesn’t know that the snow falls soundlessly to earth
Doesn’t feels the hammering at the wall.

She likes music only if it’s loud
That’s everything she hears
She likes music only if it’s loud
When it knocks her into the stomach
She likes music only if it’s loud
When the floor under her feet quakes
Then she forgets that she’s deaf

The man of her dreams ‘s got to be a bass man
The tummy tickling just crazes her
Her mouth seems to cry silently full of joy
Her view unfocussed in reverie
Her hands don’t know who to talk to
There’s nobody there speaking with her

She likes music only if it’s loud
That’s everything she hears
She likes music only if it’s loud
When it knocks her into the stomach
She likes music only if it’s loud
When the floor under her feet quakes
Then she forgets that she’s deaf

She likes music only if it’s loud
That’s everything she hears
She likes music only if it’s loud
When it knocks her into the stomach
She likes music only if it’s loud
When the floor under her feet quakes
Then she forgets that she’s deaf.....

This one has a similar effect on me and when I'm alone in the car and it is dark, I sing along.

M. Müller – Westernhagen
Willenlos

Her name was Carmelita
She was the prettiest in town
She made limping man walking
In her 50th Ford
She had class, no question there
I fell in her decolté
And I really wasn’t able to step out of her way, to step out of her way

Her name was Fräulein Meyer
Meyer with Y
She managed 10 suitors(?) daily
What a stamina
She was racy, no question there
And I really wasn’t able to step out of her way, to step out of her way

Hey mama what’s up with me
Vis-à-vis women I am will-less—completely will-less

Even in the office, in the lady’s room, I loved them
The Erica the Barbara and foremost Marie(eee)

Her name was Natasha, she came from Novosibirsk
We drank vodka from bottles
She nearly strangled me
She had proud, no question there
I sent her orchids
Man, I really wasn’t able to step out of her way, to step out of her way

Hey mama what’s up with me
Vis-à-vis women I am will-less—completely will-less
Whats up with me……

Okay, when it is very dark.
