I wonder why they're not so common. Their green-blue stripe is, at least to me, very attractive.

The natural range of green neon tetras is more limited compared to neon tetras and cardinal tetras. They are native to the Rio Meta basin in Colombia, whereas neon tetras are from the Rio Negro basin in Brazil and cardinal tetras from the upper Orinoco and Negro rivers in South America. This limited distribution might impact their availability in the aquarium trade.MultipleTankSyndrome wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 5:42 pmWas just curious if anyone else subway surfers had any green neon tetras? I find myself agreeing with Wikipedia in that they are nowhere near as common as neon or cardinal tetras, which got me curious enough to make this thread and ask.
