best algae eater...

I've had success with bristlenose plecos, one of my tanks has a female that's likely 6 yrs. old. She's so efficient that I have to supplement her diet with the typical zucchini, spinach which of course creates a mess.
Although, she has to compete with the yoyo loaches/tiger barbs that all seem to go nuts over any green vegetable. At 4.5" long she's certainly a poop factory. I'm contemplating trading her in if I can find a siamese algae eater, just to reduce the excrement load.
