Tankmates

Post by steveeas » Sat Feb 27, 2010 9:26 pm

Just moved into a new tank. Lots of room. Considering adding a school of pristellas in. Are they generally a good fit with clowns and angels. Any opinions re how many I could add comfortably?

cheers,
steve

Pristella Tetras are very good community tank fish, but are so small they could get eaten. Angels are known to eat fish as large as Neon Tetras. I would suggest a larger species, perhaps Congo Tetra.
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.

Happy fish keeping!

A school of Rainbow fish may be worth considering, I know of a lot of people who keep them with a lot of success and in some cases, breeding.

Also they come in a wide range of sizes/colours - so usually something for everyone.
