Me wonderful Bichir

Post by starsplitter7 » Thu Aug 12, 2010 5:07 pm

I have had this fish at least three years. She lives with the Plecos and S.E. She likes cocktail shrimp and lounging around. Very easy going fish and well behaved.

Unfortunately, the picture is a bit blown out.

Thanks Martin. That is absolutely wonderful! Much better view of my great fish. This fish has never caused me a problem after I figured out she wasn't a flake eater and was snacking on my smaller fish. One of my first lessons not to automatically trust the workers at the big box LFSs. Now she snacks on cocktail shrimp, and we're both happy. :)

I absolutely love her. I know she's plain, but she's so interesting (and of course could be a he). The Tiretrack eel doesn't appreciate her. When I got her she was the size of my pinky. Now she's thicker than my thumb and 6-7".
