River fishe in natural habitat in Japanese subtropics(South)

Post by odyssey » Mon Aug 30, 2010 8:37 am

Hi everyone.
I have traveled to Okinawa in Japanese subtropics in June and have taken pictures of freshwater fish in a natural habitat in the water.
Some pictures of the fish and videos besides Stiphodon genus are introduced.

Around the mouth of a river.
The young fish crowd(Amphidromous migration) going upstream to a freshwater river from a sea.
Video clip is on youtube.

Wow, look at the colors on the goby in the last pic! Amazing! We still haven't seen those guys in the trade here in States. Odyssey, I am curious about your underwater camera setup. What are you using to take these wonderful pictures?

The digital camera which I use now is S95 of Canon.
The waterproof case is made in Canon, too.

The detailed information of Sicyoputerus appears in this thread.
