Meet Simon

He's in his own tank....alone. Of course. I couldn't pass him up.
I know I shouldn't have, but I did.

Simon is QUITE handsome

I have my betta in a solitary tank (well, except for shrimp and one lone pygmy cory that I ended up with by accident - the woman accidentally netted him and put him in, so I bought him)

I think they are okay by themselves.

why did you say alone of course? male fighters can be put with other fish expect males of their own kind though they often become the victim of fin nippers.
i have a male and female fighter in one of my community tanks and also have a pair in a huge vase with a peace lilly sitting on top as they eat the roots of lillies.

My betta lives in a 5 gallon with snails. I usually keep them in community tanks with gentle fish. The one I have right now is very active and outgoing! He's also an excellent begger.

Absolutely gorgeous, and I bet he knows it. :)

At my fish club one of the ladies imports Bettas, and I have never seen such amazing fish as the ones she imports.

The most amazing one I ever owned was slate grey. His entire body and fins. He was super elegant and actually shimmered a little purple/pink. Incredible.

Hi Chrissyloach,
I'd love to see a picture of your betta! He sounds gorgeous; if you have any can you point me towards them...if they're on the site? Thank you :)
