Bought A New Discus Today

Post by Martin Thoene » Sun Dec 26, 2010 9:05 pm

Today we went out to check out the Chinese shops north of the City of Toronto that always have nice Discus. Picked up this beauty at a 25% discount to replace one I had that suddenly died a few weeks ago for no obvious reason.

Here's some of the others that I've posted pics of before. They've all grown a fair bit since then.

Same fish.

And again.

The other fish have been eating Tetra Colour Granules, Shrimp, Bloodworm, Flake and Brine Shrimp ever since I've had them, so I expect the new one to increase its colour a fair bit over the next few weeks.

menu,
your fish are really spectacular
My sister has discus, and they are apparently pretty tough to maintain. Your tank is also really beautiful!

Nice fish Menu & Martin. I've only had discus for 1.5 years...this time. So far, so good

A new pic of the new guy. He started eating Bloodworm a couple of days ago. They always seem to be reluctant to eat after moving into a new tank.

If you already holds a large group, they begin to eat faster.
White worms (Enchyträen) are a very good food in the settling-in period.
