Mardel maracide HELP!
My clown loaches have ick and I've been doing half doses. Can anyone tell me if it is safe to use whole doses of this med because the ick just seems to be getting worse.
Some further information regarding your tank will help folks to better diagnose and prescribe a way forward.
If you could answer the following, it may help:
Tank size, how long established, temp, decor and filtration.
Very recent set of actual water parameters for pH, ammonia, nitrite & nitrate - saying "fine" would not be helpful, actual figures required.
Water change schedule.
What treatments that have been tried already.
Complete stock list.

Hi funkymunkey29,
Sorry you are having this problem. And welcome to the forum.
I can tell that you are feeling desperate, and I've been there before, too. Twice.
When my clown loaches were sick with ich, I also tried medicating, but I was losing them. After a search on the internet, I decided to up the temperature to almost 90 degrees and lower the water level so that there was a good splash. The splash helps to increase the oxygen level in the warmer water. I stopped all medication. I didn't lose a single clown after that.
I also had a kubotai that developed ich symptoms while in the quarantine tank with his 4 tank mates. I also upped the temp, lowered the water level, and waited 2 weeks (doing water changes, too.) All my kubotai are alive and well today.
This is what worked for me. I've heard that there is a heat resistant form of ich....I hope I never have that in my tank.
I'm sorry that I can't help you with your med question. I'm not familiar with the med.
I hope your clowns make a full recovery.

from your 2 initial posts, it wasnt clear that you are experienced. we still ask questions like these to experienced people, as sometimes there are things you can miss. there could be all manner of things that could be preventing your fish from getting better as quick as they otherwise might.
