Back in Febuary, he was getting very skinny again so I Quarantined him in attemp to bulk him up. I treated the the Q-tank with Prazipro for a few weeks, and I was feeding him home-grown snails, bloodworms, and shrimp.
I never liked feeding bloodworms because I'm very allergic to them, but it seems I found some that I don't have a bad reaction to. I've been using frozen Red Bloodworms by San Francisco Bay. These worms are neatly packaged in plastic cubes so I don't have to touch them. All I do is cut open the foil top, then drop the plastic cube in the water. When the worms are eaten, I grab some tongs and retrieve the empty cube. Here's the brand that I'm talking about-

Anyway, the skinny clown bulked up while in quarantine so I moved him back to the main tanks about 2 weeks ago. This clown has really changed. He is no longer the weakest clown in the tank. He was actually fighting another clown last week and that was the 1st time I ever saw this clown get into any kind of scrap with another clown, and I've had him for about 2.5 years. Furthermore, last night this former skinny clown was going at it with the big mean boss clown in the tank. I couldn't believe it. This once skinny clown now has a gut and is getting bigger every week.
