Hey, great service here.. You rarely see a whole forum dedicated to fish health.
I have a suggestion that'll make this even better... How about a sticky or section on identifying diseases from pictures? (ala loach Pictorial Species Search). Members can help out by uploading pictures and all this can be categorized, labeled with description of treatment.
just a thought.
Great new forum & a suggestion

Now that is a brilliant idea.
I also wish more people would follow Emma's advise and list their water parameters. I think most problems revolve around water quality issues.
It seems that many people think that their water quality is fine, but they haven't ever measured some of the basic parameters, such as KH and GH from the tap and from the tank. It would also be nice if TDS became a standard water parameter.

We can list water params that triggers the illness. But parasite diseases aren't caused by water params so that could be left empty.chefkeith wrote:Now that is a brilliant idea.

Ah, haven't had sick fish in a while... Although sometimes there's a reoccurring case of velvet on my cherry barb.shari2 wrote:excellent idea mistergreen!
got any good pics you'd like to start us off with?
Wish I took pictures of a Camallanus worms a few years ago from some new fish... That was a nice example.
