Weather Loach, please help.

Post by ilovemywizard » Thu Jul 02, 2009 5:50 pm

hi, I have no idea what is wrong with my weather loach and I was hoping someone could help me.

My weather loach will spin around in circles, twisting with no self regard, slamming into the glass and gravel for 45sec to 1 1/2 minutes and then lays like it's dead; Unresponsive to touch, laying on its side stiff, or floating upside down.

5 minutes later, he's fine and this episode won't repeat for several hours.
This had been going on for 3 days now and I am at a loss.

Anyone?

thanks,
matt

Can you describe your set up? Here is the guideline that is at the top of this forum:

I have heard of fish that have seizures. This sounds like it. Lets eliminate other issues, though, before saying that is it.
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.

Happy fish keeping!
