clown loach grey out ?

hi there

i currentley have 4 clown loaches 3 small (1 inch) and one a bit bigger (3 inch) for some reason since the past 4 weeks hes kept his grey out status

there was just him and one small loach until i put in another 2 on satuday, yet he remains greyed out

he dosent appear to be sick, he keeps himself to himself until i switch off the lights and he becomes more active. he usually greets me in the morning when he knows its feeding time

hes in a 78 (us) gallon tank hes got a few mates as my other tanks needed to be re-sealed and upgraded a bit

so his list of tank mates is now

9 neon tetras
4 clown loaches
3 ballon molly's
2 headbangers
2 silver sharks
4 serpae tetras
2 plecs
1 angel
2 rasbora tetras
2 black ghost knifes


however as soon as i get the other tank cleaned filled up with water and left to settle/cycle there will only be the loaches,silver sharks and bgkf

apart from that he is the same size as the silver sharks, the sharks are a bit frenzied during feeding times but apart from that they keep them selves to them selves.

ive not noticed any other fish even attempt to nip him, or chase him

so is there anything else that can be keeping him greyed out for this long ?

The alpha loach usually stays greyed out most of the time.

What is the species?
There is a silver shark that is actually a brackish water fish that moves out to the ocean as it matures, but is born in fresh water. Sold as a fresh water fish. Absolutely NOT a fresh water fish.

Also sold with the common name 'silver shark' are Bala Sharks. These are fresh water fish.
