lufenuron / Program for dogs and cats as fish treatment
I recently came across an article (http://http://www.koivet.com/a_program_ ... gulus.html) suggesting the use of lufenuron, more commonly known as the Program for treating fleas and other parasites in cats and dogs, as treatment for fish parasites, such as anchor worm. It supposedly does not harm fish. Does anyone have any first hand experience with this? I am mainly interested because the tank I want to treat contains dwarf chain loaches, which can be more sensitive to medication. There are also some shrimp in the tank. I'm also curious as to how the dosage size is determined for different tank capacities.

I have not used it. I would trust Koivet, though. Perhaps an e-mail to them about dosing? Specify the fish species you are working with, too.
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.
Happy fish keeping!

Hi,
I have no experience with this med, but meds for treatment against fleas will probably also kill shrimp.
