Chain loach fighting

Post by Soulmover Di. » Sun Sep 23, 2018 7:45 pm

I'm new to the group but would like some advice on my newly acquired chain loach 10 in total, thay seem very active but have noticed a couple of them very pale and fighting or what seems like that it lasts for a while usually around feeding time,is this a territorial thing or possibly deciding who's the boss.

It sounds like they are establishing a pecking order.
Especially if it's around dinner time.
Provide safe places to hide for all fish, at least one per fish, to allow them to retreat and repose.
Also scatter these to allow fish to distance themselves from each other.
It should settler down soon enough.
Multiple Sewellia species breeding tanks
Dwarf chain loach and mixed loach paludarium
Clown loach, Yoyo Loach river tank
Rhinogobius, gastro's, panda garra and other loaches/gobies.
