Hello,
We lost a 7 inch golden earlier this week very quickly and very painful to look at. Today I noticed the other one has a small spot that is starting to discolor. The one the other day looked horrible and I am trying to post a picture for reference but I can't figure it out. The water has been fine. A little high on nitrates last week but down to 10 ppm. I am putting him a quarantine tank. Any ideas. I can't lose them both.

This was the loach from last week that died. It looks awful and neglected but it wasn't. This happened so fast.

It's good that the nitrates are down to 10 ppm, as high nitrates can be harmful to fish. However, it would be helpful to check other water parameters as well, such as ammonia, pH, and temperature, to ensure the water quality is optimal. connections game
