New food for BIG loaches
I just tried some of these out in the clown loach tank. Needless to say they are going down well and there is a right load of argy bargy going on! I would get pics but the lights are off on the tank, as are most of the room lights.
These will have to be a 'little and often' treat though, because the price tag is astronomical! Definitely worth trying if you have any big fish though.

Aren't those just mega-sized Sinking Carnivour Pellets? Clowns go totally apeshit for them and yes, they ALWAYS end up fighting over them. Never fails.
I get them in packages made from bulk bags from the best fish shop in Toronto. Still expensive, but way cheaper than the Hikari packaged ones.
Martin.

I will have to compare the ingredients of the two packets to see if they are the same but bigger. Marge & Stripes went particularly mad for them, taking them away from any of the smaller loaches that had grabbed one and taken it to what they thought was a safe place to eat it!

I like how the package shows that each pellet = the calories of 1.8 goldfish. That will make it easier for Marge to count calories...like she cares
Always good to see the bigguns, Emma- thanks for sharing the new pics!

Hi Chen,ckk125 wrote:wow...
my large clowns simply wouldn't take pellets..
Any advice?
Have you tried with the Hikari Sinking Carnivore pellets? They seem to contain something that loaches cannot resist and it sends them into a frenzy when they are dropped into the tank. If you haven't tried this type, definitely give them a go.
