Pseudogastromyzon cheni

Post by MikeBlackett »

Hello All,

Some of you may remember that a few months ago i set up a hillstream tank for hillstream loaches.

My Pseudogastromyzon cheni have been spawning for the last few months and i have a myriad of fry and juveniles that i need to rehome. The fish just wont stop spawning and every week or so there is a new batch of fry.

Is there anyone interested in taking some of these fish from me?? I live in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. But could post to locations around England. I could sell them to some of my LFSs however i am reluctant to as they keep the hillies in either the trops section or in with goldfish as a good cold water algae eater! I really want to find good homes for the fish.

ANYONE INTERESTED?? my tank is becoming over run with them!!
As happy as i am to have bred them their numbers are getting out of control...HELP...

Can you provide us with the reference forum link in PFK so that everyone can share the knowledge to breed these beautiful creatures?

It's amazing they are breeding so prolifically in your tank!

I have found two links there (of course there are many more)

http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/f ... ight=cheni

The second one contains a very interesting video! I want to have Pseudos again! :D

Are both threads from you, Mike?

Best regards,
Thomas

I dont think that would be very practical im afraid and I imagine the shipment cost would be rather hefty.

Sorry...

I like the videos. They really give a good account of this species spawning behaviour.
There is also info on this site convering the breeding of P. cheni.
Here is the link.
