New pangio species?

Post by tender » Sat Oct 25, 2008 6:36 pm

This fish - http://nettakvariet.no/forum/showthread.php?t=1094206- is supposed to be caught outside the island of Belitung in Sumatra. I was convinced it was a Shelfordi. But can it be something else?

Kind regards
Marius

Hi Marius,

Can you post the pics here? It seems you can't view the pics in that thread unless you are a member of the forum there.

Many thanks,

Emma

At first glance i was thinking Pangio piperata but then remembered that from certain locations the Pangio shelfordi is highly variable in patterns.

My vote goes for the Pangio shelfordi.

Thanks Mad Duff :D
How did you do that??

Normally I`m quite good with this kind of thing so it really annoys me that I can`t figure out how to post pics.

Graeme R: I agree with you. Looks like a Shelfordi :D
