Homaloptera ID please

Post by theonetruepath » Thu Jan 29, 2009 10:00 pm

I initially thought these guys were Homaloptera confuzona but now I think they might be Homaloptera orthogoniata

Just picked up two of these guys from Vebas.

They'll max out at three or five inches depending which one, makes no difference to me in my 7 foot tank but my mate Joe who bought five thinking they would be max three inches might get a rude shock.

You can see the keel scales in one pic, if I understand the species index info correctly this makes me lean toward othogoniata.

Ooh you lucky, lucky person! These are my all-time favourite species.

My dream tank would be an 8 foot long River-Tank with a big shoal of these guys.

Martin.
