Hi,
I'm new on here and new to having a community tank. I have 5 Clown Loaches, 9 Danios and 1 Rainbow Shark. I have had this tank running for almost a month and I enjoy my little guys. It is a little skimpy on the decorations but it is a work in progress and I hope the gang like the upgrades.

Any helpful suggestions would be gladly accepted and apprecitated!!!

I would use some wood. Clown loaches love to hide under wood.
I also would try natural plants like giant Anubia or Java fern.[/url]

Thanks Marcos, I have a medium size rock formation and medium size log that I will be adding on Monday. Working all weekend, so I don't have the time dedicated to set it all up. I saw in some of the other videos that some people are using PVC pipes stacked up to make more "caves". Anyone else here uses PVC or another type of material, I am concern about anything that could be toxic to the fish.

I, myself, use PVC pipes. Actually, I changed from PVC to Polietilen recently but both do no harm to our fishes. Watch the video on my signature.

It was your video that I saw the PVC pipe in :D , may I ask what do you do to smooth the edges of the PVC?
I love the painting above the Loach Tank, very nice!!!!Thanks for the advice, I can't wait to get home and try out your suggestions.

Both PVC or Polietilen pipes were smoothed using sandpapers. No big deal.
I changed from PVC to Polietilen because of color of pipes. Unfortunately, black Polietilen does not sink so I had to put some rock over to fix them in the bottom.

Here are two videos featuring my hillstream loaches.

In this one I figured they were behaving like this because they had nowhere else to hide so were pushing each other to get behind the filter.

This video mostly features the fish, but there's a shot of one of my loaches too.
