We were in London on Saturday to see Abney Park live for the first time:

Quite an experience standing in a venue filled with people in steampunk costume all singing along to the chorus (-:

Not bad for four weeks of playing.

Me too! I'm amazed they made a "video" for it - a little boring, but cool archival material. Every time I listen to this song (which has made it into several anthology discs), the weird blend of styles amazes me. There's a bit of soul, the syncopated rhythm and oddball rhythm instruments, the ska guitar line, and George's totally outre vocals - he really lets go for this song.

Good pick!

Last night I fulfilled a long-held ambition and saw Roger Hodgson (of Supertramp) perform his epic Fools Overture with a full Symphony Orchestra and choir. It was the climax of a totally excellent concert at Casino Rama in Orillia, Ontario.

I was moved to tears and virtually the entire crowd gave a standing ovation.
As an Englishman born less than 10 years after WW2, this song stirs the emotions.

It's over 30 years since Even In The Quietest Moments was released yet this guy is still so on top of his game and singing these songs better than ever.

Martin.

Hi Martin, Im glad to hear Roger Hodgson is in good voice as I will be seeing him at the Byron Bay Blues Festival at Easter. Some others playing are Buddy Guy - Jack Johnson - Dr John - Taj Mahal - Jeff Beck - John Mayall - 10cc - Rodriguez - Buena Vista Social Club - Lyle Lovett - Crowded House - John Butler Trio. Sounds like a good line-up this year and I am really looking forward to it.
Have a look at some of my favourite Keb Mo at the moment.

I am a regular fan of liverpool, hard fan of Zappa and die fan of soccer, as well as using free spins (ilmaiskierroksia) to hunt winnings online. anyway, love the music, excellent job done.
