Danio tinwini
I finally picked up a group of Danio tinwini yesterday
I had seen some of these last year but when I went back to the shop they had gone, anyway I popped in yesterday on the off chance and they had some back in so I got 16.
Best of all I put them in their own tank and they were spawning all night last night

Cheers Jim, these came in as Rose danio (god knows who thinks up the names lol)
They are a lovely little fish and quite outgoing, they are always out at the front of the tank and up in the water which is the total opposite of the choprae that I removed from the tank before I put these in, the choprae would hide if there was any movement in the room let alone in front of the tank.

they first came into the UK in 2002, but seemed to lose favour within a tear and now are imported infrequently, possibly because they stay too small for many community tanks plus at the time they were finding and exporting loads of new species of danios?
mick
just a note to see this fish at it's best they are best kept in a species tank to see their true nature as they spawn more like a characin than a danio.
