Large Loach species

Post by Broken_Glass » Thu Jun 24, 2010 2:39 am

Hey all, Im new to the site, Aquatic_wonders over at MFK said I should check out this site.
So my first question is; What larger loach species are there?
My ideal loach would be a Weather loach, But they are a noxious species in Australia, and they're not in my local water ways.
The loach I'm looking for needs to be about 8-15'', faster growing or not extremly expensive as an adult.

look forward to all suggestions

cheers

Hi Broken Glass and Welcome, The only Loach that you will find in Aus of that size would be the Clown Loach but they are hard to find over 15cm and they get expensive at that size.
The Weather Loach is only banned in Queensland - they can still be kept in NSW.
Cheers Graeme.
