Good algae eater for loach tank?
I've been considering getting an algae eater of some sort for my 60gal. loach tank once it is finished being set up and I'm looking for some suggestions. The tank is a 60gal. river setup that will be around 78F, be lightly planted and have two Marineland Maxi-jets for flow. I have the first and it is a 400 and is currently being run in my 30gal. I'm not sure if I want a second 400, or a 600 for when I upgrade, but I am looking at what I consider to be a decent amount of flow. The tank will be stocked with some dithers and four histrionica, so I'm looking for some peaceful, not too large fish that will enjoy the water flow and temperature while not bothering any of my current inhabitants. (tall order, I know)
Thoughts anyone?

Bristlenose plecostomus. Don't forget to quarantine.

I really like Panda Garras. They are very personable and are always out and about. I have 14 of them in three tanks. Three or so in your tank would work well.

I agree with Keith

My lfs has a batch of Panda Garras and they are very active and fun to watch. I hadn't even thought of them!
I don't know much about them so I'll have to do some reading to see if they are right for me. Do either of you know if they damage plants? I have an Anubias with some algae growing on it and I know Plecos can damage the leaves when cleaning them...

I have anubias and java fern and the Panda Garras do work on the algae on the leaves, but I have never seen any damage.

Looks like all of my algae will be going to the Hillstream loaches that my Dad bought for me. Thanks for the help everyone, but it looks like I'll have to wait on the Garra for another time.
