Anthia the Clown Loach has reached 20 years old.

Post by redshark1 » Fri Jan 03, 2014 3:59 pm

Anthia has reached 20 years of age and so have all her shoalmates.

Image

She must have known I needed a picture today because she posed beautifully for me.

Anthia, who is now 9 inches, is the largest of my six Clown Loaches. They were all purchased nineteen years ago on this date in 1995.

The feeling among other Clown Loach keepers on here was that when I bought them at 1½ “ they were very likely one year old. So, I feel it is reasonable (if not scientific) to celebrate their 20th birthday today (I have posted this on Fishlore where I also have friends).

Your loaches share a birthday with my husband so we'll drink a toast to them as well. Congrats on their longevity, they're beautiful!

Congratulations :)

Most of mine are about 7 or 8 years old, but one came to me already large, so I have no idea of its age
