Burmese Confusion

Post by lang510 » Tue Oct 30, 2018 3:11 pm

I recently purchased three young burmese loaches from my LFS. After a week I noticed that one of them was different from the rest. I returned him as I was afraid he was a totally different loach. But in my research, I found out that there are a number of different Burmese loaches. Please let me know which one I have. I believe it is Botia kubotai but not positive.

I’m certainly no expert but that looks like Botia Kubatoi. I’ve also seen Botia Histrionica called Burmese or Burmese Border loach. The common names can get so confusing!
Hopefully the experts will chime in soon!

I think it's a kubotai too.
