Thanks Jim. I think that I am already hooked. I noticed that we live only about 2 hours apart. I would be interested in finding out which LFS's in your area are good sources for loaches.

I tend to buy most of my fish at Aquarium World in Lafayette, Indiana which is about two hours from me and about an hour north of Indianapolis on I-65. Closer to you; I have gotten a few fish in Terre Haute, but not in a very long time.
I have heard that Champaign, Illinois has some good fish stores. Members of the Circle City Aquarium Club in Indianapolis make occasional field trips there but I don't know the names of the stores or if they tend to get many loach species.

Thanks Emma.

Jim- I'll have to check out the Lafayette store sometime when I am over that way. You are right about Champaign. Sailfin in Champaign is very good. I was there recently and the loaches included Clowns, Botia almorhae, and Yasuhikotakia morleti.

Thanks.

Keith

Hi there everyone - been reading this fantastic forum for quite sometime but never joined - been to busy on the plec forum and tending to my tanks (big one leaked - much trauma - will tell later on that one) anyhow at the moment we have on the clown loach front = 6 x small`ish ones (3-4") 4 x big`ish ones (6-7") and our latest find 3 x large ones (8-9") in the big tank and in the 4 foot quarantine tank at the moment with some plecs that I recieved from a local lady who was retiring a single yo-yo - a healthy size of 5"plus - a real stunner - who definetly needs some pals.Look forward to posting and reading somemore...
