Sorry I've not been on here for a few days and replied over in the 'Assortment of Pics' thread re: the Annamia: http://forums.loaches.com/viewtopic.php ... c&start=30
I'd come to the same conclusion a while back as I could only find reference to one species of Annamia, and HH was adament that was what my original batch of fish were. Interestingly, this week, one of my suppliers changed the name of this fish on their lists from 'Homaloptera species' to 'Annamia normani'.

Whilst looking through one of my Vietnamese books I have found another species of Annamia that was described as new in the book:

A. thuathienensis

The picture is very very poor and the text is in Vietnamese so cant make out what the supposed difference is.

I would still go with normani.

For anyone who doesn't know. Steve (The Dark One) has basically a library of books that is fish related in taxonomy.
