Many thanks all. I'm amazed by how many people are following the development of these little loaches.

Update 19-02-2007.

Pictures are becoming even harder to get, but here are a few from today....

This is the little one from the 2nd batch:

And the larger one from the 1st spawning:

(Sorry the quality is not so good  , the larger one in particular is becoming more reclusive - much like the adult fish - as he grows).

Update 25-02-2007.

The larger fry (1st batch) on the Eheim external intake pipe:

And the little one (2nd batch):

The larger Sewellia sp. 'spotted' fry is growing at a phenominal rate. He/she is now significantly longer than any of my Sewellia lineolata fry, which have been around since June '06. It is also becoming more reclusive as it ages.

Pics from this evening 08-03-2007:

The fry from the 2nd spawning. A bit dark as he/she was lurking towards the back of the tank:

And here is the beautiful larger fry from the 1st spawning:

And finally a shot of him/her disappearing round the back, probably to be hidden from view for ages again!

What beautiful fish!!!
The one from the second batch has really grown.
My S. lineolata have been engaging in spawning behavior again, but still no eggs or fry have been seen. They seem to do this about every two weeks and start shortly before the lights go out.

Update 11-03-2007.

I'm posting another update quite soon after the last as I managed to capture a few shots of the fry from spawnings 1 and 2 together:

and a few of the larger one on his/her own:

I managed to measure the bigger one when at the front glass and already this fish is 3cm TL! 8)
