Good info about wild caught Clown Loachs

This indicates that the major source of CLs is still wild caught.

Yet I've been told twice in stores, once in Petco and once in a LFS, that they're breed in captivity.

If I go in a store and buy CLs will they be wild caught or captive breed?

That will depend on which supplier your lfs chooses to import them from! I'm in the trade and have access to captive bred or wild caught Clowns. More often than not, I will import captive bred specimens where possible.
