Medium size Loaches and black/grey algae

I know I overfeed my fish, but can I use some type of algacide in my 75 gal tank that has snotty grey algae all over? I do water changes, have an over the tank Rena filter and also use an over the tank aquaclear...still have the yukky mess. Thank you for any input.
