Loaches Online Forum

Hi, I have recently rescued a tank full of fish, due to the fact the filter had not been working for a while and due to ill health maintenace had not been carried out, I want to treat the fish for worms as some are looking skinny and have stringy poo. However there are some chain loach in the group, I usually use sterazin, is this ok with loaches? Many thanks

I would just put them in a clean hospital aquarium and make sure they are eating.
If they are not eating within 2 weeks, then treat for worms, but watch the dose, chain loaches are small and
like all loaches, they absorb medications through their skin far more readily than other fish that have scales
