Do Dojo Loaches Click?

Another silly question.

I have been moving my fish around trying to improve everyone's living conditions, get better tank mates, temp. requirements, . . .

I have seen and heard my Dojos make "kissing sounds" when they are at the surface sucking food from the glass or my fingers. There are no more loaches in their tank, and when I am sitting across the room from their tank, I hear loud clicking in their tank (not the kissing sounds). I can't see who is doing it, since I am 15 feet away and I have a couch in the way. I keep wondering if I left one of my other loaches in the tank. I do count them, so I am pretty sure I have everyone.

I do have a Striped and a Spotted Raphal Catfish in the Dojo tank, but I have never heard them click, even when I remove them from the tank. They are very easy going and share their quarters with others.

And a side question -- do Dojos have the ocular spine? I imagine they don't.

Do you have a gravel substrate? They will toss the rocks sometimes.

I do have gravel. That could be it. I have one that likes to bury himself.

Do you if they click anyways? Eye spine?

Raphaels will click, I have heard mine when there is no possibility of it being anything else.
I have not heard my Dojos click, but they might. They will certainly move gravel with enough force to click the glass with the pebbles. Too small to hurt the glass, but noticeable sound.
