Hello everyone!

I haven't been on here in a long while and I know this algae well. It's called black beard algae. All driving force for algae is light. If you can reduce that, you reduce the algae. Cut down on the hours or loose a bulb.

Another product that can kill the algae is Seachem's Excel ...

just wanted to drop in and say, Nice tank!

you can arrange stones in steps under your sand to create mounds, and they'll stay relatively in tact.

And think about attaching anubias, java fern and moss on those ridiculously nice driftwood.

What tank size is this?
I would hold off on buying more clowns.

I personally would give away the angels or clowns to a local fish store, or whoever will have them. These are not a good mix of species.

Just a wash under running water will work.

Now for the other side of things, PVCs do release a small amount of the chemicals called dioxin which is cancerous. In the news lately, you've heard of companies getting rid of baby bottles made of pvcs.

I personally don't think it's that much of a deal ...

go to youtube, create an account... There's a yellow 'upload' button on the top right.. click that and choose your movie on your computer.. There are restrictions on the upload. File size over 1 GB or the movie is longer than 10 minuters are rejected. They don't want people upload tv shows, movies ...

Copper pipes are safe. You only have to worry if it's over 100 years old when it starts to degrade.

yikes, I'd hate to see the bill for stainless steel pipes.. Copper is used because it's relatively cheaper than the other metals.

Ah, haven't had sick fish in a while... Although sometimes there's a reoccurring case of velvet on my cherry barb.

Wish I took pictures of a Camallanus worms a few years ago from some new fish... That was a nice ...

I also wish more people would follow Emma's advise and list their water parameters. I think most problems revolve around water quality issues.

It seems that many people think that their water quality is fine, but they haven't ever measured some of the basic ...
