how to make a YouTube video...??

Post by Sea Sprite »

You all have been so helpful when I neded it. And you've asked for pics or videos of my tanks. Can I upload directly from my Canon PowerShot A720 to You Tube? Or can someone explain the steps of putting a video on You Tube? I tried for a while today can't seem to figure it out.

I need to go now, but will check back tomorrow.
Thank in advance for any help.

I think you'll need to upload the file to your computer. Then you'll need a YouTube account, then you can upload the file to YouTube. You can upload movies to Photobucket also.

Thanks chefkeith. I've done the 1st two steps you mentioned a couple days ago. Uploading the files to You Tube is where I seem to be stuck. I'll keep working on it.

Again, TY.

Sometimes uploading the files can take hours depending on Internet connections.

go to youtube, create an account... There's a yellow 'upload' button on the top right.. click that and choose your movie on your computer.. There are restrictions on the upload. File size over 1 GB or the movie is longer than 10 minuters are rejected. They don't want people upload tv shows, movies and such. If they are, you'd have to edit your video with software.

Uploading usually will take a long time depending on the size of the video and your internet connection, a few hours maybe. Even if you do have 'fast' internet, uploading is much slower than downloading for most services.
