I know someone on this forum has gotten Sids to spawn by accident.
My plans are in the works to replicate the conditions in his tank but for striatas.

(just needed an excuse to plant up a 75 gallon tank and make it species-specific.) :roll:

I get the feeling that that fish isn't 100% kub.

I keep kubs with yoyos and striatas... sort of like a small, medium, large set of botias.

While there are a few outbreaks of body slapping in my tank, nothing escalates beyond that. My striatas are brave buggers but other than that, they seem ...

There is a bit of a story in the creation of this tank. I was tired of having to watch yoyo loaches in one tank and kubs and striatas in the other and just as I was about to lose hope, here comes this beautiful 80 gallon for christmas.

I've been somewhat busy doing research on how to get paypal over here.

Other than that, I've been sketching ideas and so forth.

Here is a rough ink drawing of a zebra loach. I plan to turn it into a digital painting when I'm done with it. Something Tanja will like :)

I'm at a crossroads here... I need to decide whether I should keep the typographical patterns for the loaches or go for something else.

This style would be hard to do for some species (like skunks, modestas, etc.) but would be easy to do for striatas, kubs, and yoyos.

I guess what will happen is ...

Ok guys, since you've brought it up, I kinda need to fulfill a job training requirement for school and part of it is enterpreneurial(sp?)

So... I've planned to

1. make t-shirts,
2. sell prints,

and

3. sell the digital files in PDF form.

Earning in a foreign currency would totally destroy ...

Botia Kubotai will have distinct spots more often than not.

A kub will have bluer spots by the looks on this picture, and a more distinct, rounder, and line along the body.
